The Ice Storm

Tommy Burton -- This is the Ang Lee film of the Rick Moody story. The film has a slow deliberate pace, but it filled with many nuances and excellent performances by the cast. Lee perfectly captures suburban life of the 70s. Actually the time doesn't play into the film's story so much other than references. It's a nice movie that pays off with each viewing. The DVD is bare bones other than including a behind-the-scenes featurette. A commentary would have been a nice addition, but the film itself makes up for anything lacking on the DVD.
