We Like Media's Movies for Adults
by Tommy Burton, Carrie Hoffman, Lori Rooney, Sean Sloan, Rusty W. Spell, Jason Stuart, Allen Wagner, and Neola Young

Ever since Star Wars and Jaws and that big revolution in the 70s, right down to today's movies like Finding Nemo and Shrek making billions of dollars, movies for young people have been in the spotlight. In fact, it's kind of hard sometimes to find movies that seem specifically made for adults. Of course, every movie is for adults if an adult can enjoy it, just as every movie is for children if a kid happens to like it, but for our lists we tried our best to pick movies that seemed specifically adult to us.

Each writer had a slightly different definition of what "adult" mean to them, and no doubt many readers (and other writers in this group) will disagree with some of the selections ("Hey, that's a kiddie movie!"). We did our best to edit out some of the more obvious selections, like when someone put a Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen movie on their list. Feel free to complain about what remained.

We all wrote commentaries for the movies chosen. Sometimes the commentary is about the "adultness" of the movie, and sometimes it's just about the movie itself. A few of the writers wrote introductions to explain their choices.
